IN-DEPTH LOOK at the 7 easy and simple steps to finding the right person to marry- Step 2 of 7

Step 2- Finish your career (from the 7 easy and simple steps to finding the right person to marry)

Why do you think finishing your career before committing to some one is so important? To put it in simple terms, just think about the people you used to hang out with in high school or Junior high school, do you still hang out with them? Has there been people that you used to really like back then but you no longer have anything in common now and don’t talk to anymore? Or maybe you used to hang out with a co-worker at your old job but now that you have a new job you don’t hang out with them anymore. The reason this happens is because you no longer have anything in common and as a result you slowly drifted apart. (more…)

Why would my ex send me a Friend Request on Facebook if he’s married?

Why would my ex send me a Friend Request on Facebook if he’s married?

Ok so my ex is 26 too, and Latino. I met this guy in my last year of college and we went out for about 3 weeks. If I had known at the time that he had JUST broken up w/ his previous ex a few days before we met, I wouldn’t have bothered. So during the last week we were together, Not only do I find out he’s still talks to his ex, (she cheated on him so I didn’t expect him to be cordial) but he was still in love with her! Needless to say we had a horrible break-up after that, (involving him trying to break up with me over email) I never spoke to him again. So yesterday, I get a friend request from him on facebook, and as shocked as I was, it was nothing compared to the fact that I found out he is now MARRIED. And NOT to the chick he left me for. No surprise there. So why is he trying to approach me now? It was confusing back then when we met because everything happened so fast, (which should have made sense seeing as how I was just the rebound girl) and it’s even more confusing now. I was happier to just forget about him. What do you think? (more…)

Great guy is not so great when he’s drunk

Great guy is not so great when he’s drunk

My boyfriend of one year is a great guy. He is 10 years older than me, has a successful business, and we have a lot of fun together. We get along really well except for one problem: When we’re out with friends and he’s had a few drinks, he tends to make jokes at other people’s expense that aren’t funny. These comments are cutting and can be mean at times.

I don’t mind so much if he does this with his friends, but I hate it when he does this with mine because he doesn’t even know some of them very well. I have asked him repeatedly to stop doing this but he doesn’t.

This behavior interferes with my feelings for him and I get really turned off. Even having me withdraw from him afterward for a few days doesn’t make a difference in his behavior.

Do you have any suggestions? (more…)
