It often happens that women want to give a guy a gift for whatever the special occasion happens to be but the problem is that women have a hard time thinking about a good gift. This is actually a relatively easy task to do and it’s not that hard. Unfortunately, women repeatedly give a guy the wrong gift, either because they’re too lazy to think of a good one or because they simply don’t know.
Luckily for all you ladies out there, I’ve come up with four simple things you should NEVER give a guy:
1. Flowers– No, no, no. Never give a guy flowers. We hate giving them to you and we definitely don’t want them. Just because you think they are nice and is a sweet thing to do, it doesn’t mean guys think the same way. Flowers for a guy are just a waste of money and space.
2. Teddy bears- Actually any kind of stuffed animal is a bad idea to give to a guy. Again, we don’t like them and it’s hard to find a good place to put them. They take up room in our house and it doesn’t look good. And if you live with us it just adds one more thing to the list of junk you have that we hate. It actually becomes more of a gift for you than for us.
3. Birthday cards- Birthday cards or any other kind of card (Christmas, anniversary, etc.) is a nice thing because it gives you a chance to personally write something nice inside that comes from the heart. We get that, the problems is that after a while we start collecting a pile of them and it becomes a problem simply because we can’t throw them away because we would like to keep those nice words you wrote forever (not) but at the same time we can’t find a place to store them.
A better alternative is to write him an e-mail. You get to say all the nice things you want to say and he gets to keep it forever in his computer. Now a day you can also send e-cards that have all the nice graphics and all the bells and whistles you want. A win-win situation for both.
4. Finally, Surprise candle-light dinner- As much as you think this is a good idea, it’s not. We really don’t care about having a candle lit or romantic music playing in the background. All we really care about is having a good tasting dinner and that’s more than enough. So cut all those things out and just concentrate on making sure that dinner tastes great.
See, just because you women would like those things done for you it doesn’t mean we would like those same things done for us. Really all you have to do is pay close attention to our comments and the things we really like and bingo, you’ll be able to figure out the perfect gift to give us.
Take this list and use it as a starting point next time you’re trying to figure out what to give your man. At least by staying away from these four things, you can make sure to have a better chance at giving your man something he will appreciate.
