Mel Gibson’s Explosive “Racist” Rants

Mel Gibson’s Explosive “Racist” Rants post image

I was really making an effort to not write about Mel Gibson and the number of audio tapes that have surfaced in the last several days about his so called “explosive rants” but I’ve had enough. I can’t help to think that so many people are blowing this out of proportion and making it a bigger deal then what it is.

Let’s start by pointing out the obvious and remind everyone that Mel Gibson is above all just another human being and he’s entitled to get mad and maybe say things that perhaps he doesn’t really mean. C’mon you’ll be lying if you said that you’ve never gotten so mad at someone that you get caught up in the heat of the moment and say things you shouldn’t have said. I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m guilty of this and know a lot of people (probably you too) that have done this too. Is it right to do? Probably not. Is there a lot of people that constantly do it? Yes, and we all know it. So why make a big deal and criticize him and say he’s a racist and a monster. That’s too much drama that none of us need.

I started, laughing my fu**ing ass off (lmfao, for you old farts that always wondered what that meant) when I heard the following quote by Mel towards Oksana Grigorieva:

“You go out in public and it’s a f*cking embarrassment to me. You look like a f*cking bitch in heat. And if you get raped by a pack of ni**ers it will be your fault. Alright? Because you provoked it. You are provocatively dressed all the time with your fake boobs that you feel you have to show off. I don’t like it. I don’t want that woman. I don’t want you. I don’t trust you. I don’t love you.”

Let’s analyze this quote and see how this is something a lot of us would probably say or have said (it doesn’t make it right) at one point or another.

Put yourself in Mel’s place and imagine you have a chick living with you who is also the mother of your kid and she goes out in public dressing like a whore. What kind of mom is that? Later when her daughter grows up and sees the kind of clothes her mom used to wear, what is she going to think? What kind of example is she setting for her daughter? I, as a man wouldn’t want the mother of my daughter behaving that way and would definitely be upset.

In addition, when analyzing the whole sentence you can tell this isn’t the first time they have this argument. It is clear that this is an on going problem that hasn’t been resolved and as a result the frustration and dissatisfaction is evident. When there’s reoccurring problems in a relationship this kind of explosive rants do happen quicker then when the problems is new and there hasn’t been any kind of discussion in the past.

The fact that Mel uses a racial slur to illustrate his argument is obviously wrong but at the same time I’m sure he wasn’t planning on being recorded by a crazy bitch. I think it’s wrong to label Mel Gibson as a racist based on that one sentence and let’s be real he’s not a racist. I will consider him a racist when I see him randomly beating up a black person with out being provoked. Quite honestly I can almost bet (since there’s no actual way to prove this, I don’t) that everyone at one point or another in their lives have said something negative (racist) about another race other than their own. So stop trying to make the wrong assumptions.

Bottom line is that this is just a typical case of a crazy bitch that just wants to act like a poor victim to the eyes of others and clearly has other objectives on her agenda. It’s no surprise that on most of the recordings she never says anything that would make her look bad. That’s PROBABLY because she was planning on using all those tapes to get what she wants out of Mel. I want to hear what she says when she doesn’t know there’s a tape recording every word that comes out of her mouth. What if someone was to do that to her? I wonder what we would hear.

This whole story seems a little too fishy and a lot of things don’t seem to add up. For these reasons I have decided to not let any of these rumors impact my personal opinion of Mel Gibson and just treat it for what it is, just a bad case of a relationship gone wrong.

In Gibson’s case, we say “painfully relevant” for two reasons. First, to be effective, the picture of his remorse must be real. The emotion must be real. Gibson may be a convincing actor by trade, but I doubt Barrymore or Olivier could fake it in his situation.
